And no, I've never thought to try Pen Pals within the school ... but you better believe I'm going to try it this year! Thanks for the suggestion. Do you give out names or just have them write Dear-Friend letters? Oooo, what fun.

Barbarahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10926426214201766983noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-39540160411205061352013-08-15T21:02:02.753-05:002013-08-15T21:02:02.753-05:00Just beautiful! What a great idea and I just want to "ditto" what Kim said above.

I know it's not the same, but have you ever had pen pals within the school? I have paired older students and younger students that I work with in separate groups (for whatever issue...the pen pal thing is an extra in the group) and it's so much fun when after a few weeks, they get to meet in person. (Except for the few who "cheat and meet" before I say so by hooking up on the playground!) It's fun and a great way to support the writing curriculum!Lisa S. in Williamsburg, VAhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13538008903553793409noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-89685367020438017292013-08-14T20:27:54.647-05:002013-08-14T20:27:54.647-05:00What wonderful words of wisdom from a wonderfully ...What wonderful words of wisdom from a wonderfully wise woman...

Kim
Finding JOY in 6th GradeKimhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03596768050411395194noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-42375957763002896092013-08-14T19:39:21.839-05:002013-08-14T19:39:21.839-05:00Ah, thanks Tammy.
