Maybe I could get my own girls to buy into this with Olympic Fever going on in our house ... ;)
Hope you're having a wonderful day, Barbara!

Jen
Runde's RoomRunde's Roomhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10131626283927713737noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-62395463926286757062012-07-26T08:18:42.475-05:002012-07-26T08:18:42.475-05:00Barbara, I LOVE this idea!!! She has what I like to call "high expectations" (for students and teachers alike) and a little motivation like an award - even that of a plunger! - would certainly encourage kids to pay attention to the details of their trip to the restroom. Re: programs I've started to address an issue, I designed the Purple Hand Pledge program around the Hands and Words are Not For Hurting Project and it has been super successful. The intention is to motivate students to stop and think before saying or doing something hurtful to others (and themself!) and therefore cut down on bullying incidents. I do a student survey (surveymonkey) each spring to keep data regarding its effectiveness, and to help me with lesson planning for the following year.Tanyahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03435163575053405166noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-35569094089263613662012-07-25T12:01:33.253-05:002012-07-25T12:01:33.253-05:00GREAT idea! It was awful! I'm hoping we don't have any issues like that this year.Jordonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11965266996302206328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4647389869700092299.post-18026407632958403672012-07-25T08:23:37.430-05:002012-07-25T08:23:37.430-05:00Yes, Barbara, I was snickering! This would be a great way to include our custodians in our PBIS initiative.

VanessaAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09766429614798563833noreply@blogger.com
