Girls On A Mission

Happy July! So this past week, KTRK Channel 13 visited NASA to take a look at the WISH program and, sure enough, there's my hubby, John Gruener, behind the scenes conducting his signature fruit demo to get his workshop participants thinking about the relative sizes of the Earth, Moon, and Mars and the distance between them.

One thing I love about John is how passionate he is about space exploration and our future; he thoroughly enjoys the education and outreach part of his job.  This past year, he did two visits with my cyberspace colleagues via Skype, one with Jordon's class up in MO, the other with Reagan's class in central Texas. John thrives on these kinds of opportunities!

My favorite part of the girls' WISH week is that they will create a podcast based not on Space Science, but on NASA's Core Values!  How cool is that?
