Bucket Filling from A to Z Giveaway

Happy October.

Today I'm excited because Carol McCloud and co-author Caryn Butzke have
a new kid on the block:

I traveled through the ABCs with my Kindergarten kiddos in Peace Class yesterday and they loved it. We started out by singing The Alphabet Song, first my puppet Boris sang it for them in Spanish, then they sang it for him in English.
AdOrAbLe!
We reviewed what they understand about filling and dipping, then we read this treasure page by page, paying particular attention to the
brilliant, colorful illustrations.

We played I-Spy and looked for pictures of kids with a dipping ladle so that we could discuss how to change those behaviors from dipping to filling.

We finished by singing my Fill A Bucket song.

I keep this bucket bag in my office so that when friends need to reflect on their behavior we can do it together ... there's a little mirror inside so they can see that they are a Bucket Filler.

Oh, and see how my friend and expert Bucket Filler Carol McCloud signed this book? Well, it's for one lucky Corner visitor. Just leave a comment telling us what fills your bucket and you'll have an entry in my Bucket Book Giveaway.

How about we leave the giveaway opened through Friday night, October 4, 2103, at 10 pm central. The Gruener Generator will choose one winner from all of the comments and we'll announce if it's you on Saturday morning.

This giveaway is now closed.

How will you fill a bucket today?

  2. Today I am working with a child with autism--I will be filling his bucket by helping him learn to adjust to the cafeteria and bus. Knowing that I am helping him deal with these stimulating environments fill my own bucket. Today we filled our teachers mailboxes/buckets with Hershey kisses with the note here's a hug---all this common core has them stressed out.
