Breakfast On The Farm 2025

Happy June Dairy Month; ours started off sweeter than a cup of Culver's custard because our family dairy hosted Brown County's Breakfast on the Farm on June 1st. Check out the news coverage {here} and {here}.

Here now, a picture walk through the amazing morning.

The event, which kicked off at 7 am with a morning worship service, found people bundled up and huddled under the tent because, though it was sunny, it was only 42 degrees. Brrrrr.
Then guests from all over the state rolled in to enjoy breakfast;
I got to volunteer in the serving line next to my sister and my husband.
There were guided tours on a tractor-pulled trolley,
and fascinating exhibits, like this cheese cow,
carved from a 40 lb. block of mild cheddar.
Visitors even got to pet a bunch of different animals,
get their picture taken with a newborn calf,
and watch the Holsteins line up for a deep-tissue massage.
I felt so much pride and joy being a part of this incredible outreach.

We laughed, we cried, we marveled, and we remembered when.
We've come a very long way since 1880. And I'm grateful.

While in WI, I had the blessing of recording this podcast episode with Ben.
We connected over the roots of the SEL movement and
how we can best equip and empower the people in our care.

Tune in today to hear our reflections and our resources.
