This evening I am gratefully relaxed after Breathwork With Ben.
I met Ben earlier this month when he asked for volunteers for his podcast; after our episode dropped, he invited me to try a free Breathwork session.
If you're like me, you may be easily distracted,
so I went into our Zoom chat cautiously optimistic,
uncertain about whether my mind could stick with it.
That actually might be part of what made it so epic.
My mind stayed with Ben {almost} the entire thirty minutes!
In my defense, our foster cat Evie did vie for my attention.
So, here are my two key take-aways:
A half-hour breathwork session feels incredible;
consider it me-time, a refueling if you will.
Breathwork paired with music is brilliant! Ben talked us through three songs during our session; I had flashbacks to my days teaching aerobics, only this was a workout for my heart and soul as well as for my body and my brain. We took eight-count breaths, I believe he called them earth breaths, four-count breaths, and even some shorter two-count breaths. All the while, Ben is coaching us through tonight's theme, building confidence, and inviting us to feel it from our heads to our toes, to really breathe in confidence and let it flow through us.
The only other thing I can say is that you, dear reader,
should try it for yourself and see what you think.
Here are the details:
Breathwork With Ben sign-up {here}.
Sessions are free every Wednesday night
from 6:30-7:00 pm CST via Zoom.
Maybe I'll see you there next week?
