This morning I found this little leaf sitting by my phone.
It probably seems sort of meaningless, unless you know how much I love Fall foliage and how little actual color change we get here in Texas. That, coupled with the fact that my husband spotted it, grabbed it, and brought it in for me gives me pause and makes me grateful all at once.
Another thing that makes me grateful is reading a good book, and this week I'm reading the memoir that my sister gave me for my birthday called All The Good by Dawn Marisch,
I'm only about ten chapters in and I simply cannot put it down. In it, Dawn mentions her Mount Rushmore peeps; after researching what that means exactly, I decided to pick mine.
These beautiful humans are women that I look up to,
heroes of mine who have helped shaped me into
the person, the mom, the friend I am today.
I asked Gemini AI to put them on the mountain for me;
they put themselves up there by mentoring me.
Sally, with her grace and joy.
Cynthia, with her glow and generosity.
Leslie, whose fierce independence inspires.
Sue, with her unconditional love.
Mary, whose laughter uplifts.
Their smiles share their stories so beautifully.
Who would you put on your Mount Rushmore?
