#SchoolCounselingSimplified

Today I'm excited because this podcast episode is now live.
We recorded a month or so ago, and I'v been eager to hear how it turns out. Though I'd never met Rachel, it felt as if I were having a coffee chat with a longtime friend as she listened to the story of my counseling career. Grab your coffee and tune in {here}.

It made my heart happy to take this trip down memory lane.
Here's a picture of how counseling classes looked, and the little
boy in the back, who would have done much better in the front.
A growth opportunity for me, for sure.

These pictures take me back, to my happy place, and
I savor these opportunities to reminisce and reflect.

This picture shows my puppet Winthrup, a important
engagement tool that I used in grades preK-5th.
I often take him on author visits as well, and he's a fan fave.

Wasn't our leadership space incredible?!

According to John Dewey, our learning happens in the reflection, and what I learn as I give these interviews is that I was incredibly blessed to do what I love and love what I do. And it's a bonus, for sure, when I can plant some seeds of inspiration in the gardens of our listeners, then sit back and watch them take root, sprout, stretch, grow, bloom.

I recently talked with Todd Nesloney with TEPSA
about the Power of Affirmations; listen in {here}.

Today, I'm not sure what's next, but I'm learning to stay in the moment,
loving what is, living a legacy of connection and love,
and looking for ways to serve
one moment,
one minute,
one memory
at a time.
