Harmony and Hope

My one little word . . . what's yours?

So today I'm so excited about three things.  First, my Cultivate A Winning Attitude blog made the 11 Really Good Teachers' Lounge Articles from 2011 list - YAY! Secondly, I spent THE. MOST. PEACEFUL. day with my husband yesterday taking down our holiday treasures for another year (I can put Christmas away in FOUR bins!). This practicing peace thing is great fun so far. Finally, I'm thinking about Harmony and Hope. It's my Teachers' Lounge guest post that delves into a few words that begin with the prefix ~re (besides the obvious one - resolution) on many hearts and minds this time of year. What's on your to-do list that has to do with self-care? Here's to the positive things that we'll do for ourselves as we move ever-so-gently
in 2012 down the path of peace and plenty.

  1. Hey You -
You know what I like about the OLW? It's not so much the word you choose, it's what it means to you at that moment. I love how open ended it is....

    Thanks for your sweet comment!

  2. Congratulations on making the top 11 list! But you are #1 in my list- okay I am a little biased but just being honest.

Word for my list is "JOY". It represents putting my life in balance- something that seems like a daily struggle each day with TBA, a family of seven, and all of my other responsibilities. J is for Jesus, O is for others, and Y is for yourself. I must keep these things in that order to keep my life balanced. And I can't forget the Y part too since it is tough for me to include a little time for me (eating right, exercising, down time) in this super busy season of life. ♥ you!

  4. I love that! My OLW this year is Choose. To choose stress-reduction things such as running and yoga, to choose time with God everyday before and after work, to choose gratitude not comparison. I am stoked to see what this new year brings about.

CONGRATS on making the top 11 list. You deserve to be recognized as the awesome person you are.
