One of the reasons we love living in small-town America is our 114-year tradition of uninterrupted Independence Day parades! We got up early to get Joshua lined up with the FHS Band for his first 4th of July experience.
This year's theme? You're a Grand Old Flag!
I carried the character cam so that I could
share our morning in pictures with you.
Here's our favorite pillar of character in the community,
the Honorable Judge John Ellisor.
This carousel was actually spinning around while music played.
The patriotically-decorated bikes always make me smile.

Our Texas bands all have these huge equipment trucks.

ReplyDeleteI remember marching in my first Friendswood Fourth of July Parade. It was the summer before 9th grade and we were all excited. I miss that! It looks like y'all had a great day!
